John the Balloon Man and Karen the Hula Hoop Lady were happy to be part of Summer Fest 2023 in downtown Pittsboro, held on Sunday, July 2, from 3 – 8 pm. The 2022 event was cancelled due to weather. The day was hot–“only” 95, down from a predicted 97 and narrowly missing a heat advisory–but people came out and enjoyed the party. Balloons, hula hoops, a watermelon seed spitting contest, bicycle parade, music, stilt walkers. A good time was had by all!

Clydefest moved from the Bynum Ball Park to the Chatham Agricultural Center in Pittsboro in 2023 for better accessibility. Originally scheduled for Saturday, the event moved to Sunday to accommodate the weather. Sunday was beautiful.

Clyde was there, of course, and lots of regular attendees and musicians; new groups were included, too.

John the Balloon Man and Karen the Hula Hoop Lady were happy to be part of the 2022 Pittsboro Street Fair held on Hanks and Credle Streets in Downtown Pittsboro on October 29, 2022. It was a gray and blustery day, but people bundled up and came out! Thanks to the Pittsboro Rotary for hosting the event.

The 2022 outdoor festival season started with the Eggstreme Spring Fling in Pittsboro, NC, at the Central Carolina Community College campus.

It started out to be a beautiful day that never warmed up. People had fun getting out, visiting the booths, hunting eggs, hula hooping, and going home with a balloon animal.
